Color Can Heal…Think Color this Fall

Colorful Whole Foods can Improve Your Health

What an amazing time of year to be grateful for the bounty in our lives. This is a great time to focus on taking your eating habits to the next level of healthy. The harvest is coming in and the data is already in that diets focused on more fruits, vegetables and plant foods are better for our health. Eating in this way can have a major impact on diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension.

We have the power to heal ourselves and the power to be healthier and happier than we ever thought possible. More whole, plant-based food is the key. And it’s not just about disease prevention. It’s about how you feel every day.

Eating more whole foods will help you sleep better, it will clear up your skin and give you a glow, joint pain will go away and so will your need for an afternoon nap. Your immune system will flourish which protects you from cancer and imagine how it would be to forego this year’s winter cold. You may even find that your seasonal allergies get better.

A simple easy way to evaluate how nutritious a diet you are eating is to use the color index. Just look at how colorful your plate is. The more colors you can identify the better. Below you will find a couple of recipes to help you create a more vibrant diet for better health.

Warmly,

Ruth
